Lyft Zombies Rise From Dead to Give Out Candy, Spooky Rides

It’s not every day you can hitch a ride with the undead. But since when has Halloween been like every other day? The ridesharing app Lyft shifted its Halloween spirit into high gear on Thursday, transforming nearly 50 San Francisco-based drivers into spooky Zombie chauffeurs. The drivers, who received a professional makeup job from a special effects artist who also drives Lyft in his spare time, are cruising around the city with baskets full of candy and Lyft discount codes for unsuspecting passengers See also: 12 Apps You’ll Use This Weekend Users who request a ride will know they’ve booked a zombie driver when the driver’s picture shows up within the app. The candy being handed out to passengers also has Lyft discount codes attached, offering users ride credits worth as much as $100 (although most are $10-20, according to a Lyft spokesperson). ‘Lab Rats’ Web Series Tests Dog Collars on Humans

What’s the most humane way to test a dog collar? On a human, of course. Created by Daniel Nayeri and Brendan Choisnet of Plywood Pictures, the webisodes follow a lab tech (played by Elyse Brandau) at a low-end firm who hates her job, and an out-of-work musician who makes money by signing up for all their tests.
