Facebook is rolling out support for AMP as part of its open source Instant Articles software development kit. The company’s new SDK will have an extension that allows publishers to create content in the Instant Articles, AMP, and Apple News format. Support for Google’s AMP will be rolled out first, with support for Apple News coming in a few weeks. Facebook’s SDK will work by building AMP and Apple News pages with the same markup used to build Instant Articles. That ‘Castlevania’ series from Netflix looks LEGIT

This July, Netflix will wade into the crowded world of video game-to-some-other-screen adaptations with an animated series based on the NES classic, Castlevania. After watching this first-look trailer, just one word springs to mind: hype. The anime-inflected take on Simon Belmont’s forever war against Dracula and his army of minions strikes the right tone in this minute-long teaser. Maybe it’s just the thrill of seeing a lo-fi Netflix app running on NES talking, but there’s a lot to be excited about here. Castlevania comes to Netflix on July 7. Apple’s new ads are a million miles from ‘I’m a Mac and I’m a PC’

Clever and funny are out. Short and obvious are in. Watching Apple’s new collection of Switch Ads, I was instantly nostalgic for the company’s iconic “I’m a Mac and I’m a PC” ads that introduced us to the wit and comic-timing of John Hodgman and lovable knowingness of Justin Long. In those ads, they were affable counterparts in the computing spectrum. Hodgman personified the buttoned-down nature of the Windows PC industry and user—as well as every issue the pre-Windows 10 PC had—while Long was the cool Mac, impervious to Windows viruses and honestly concerned for the well-being of his beleaguered friend.
